And so it begins


I am about to embark on the construction of the Artesania Latina Cutty Sark model.

This is the second model ship I have attempted. The first was a Constructo kit of the Albatross, below. With many mistakes and a lot of lessons learned, hopefully this time I will make a better job.

 


 

My intention is to post my progress as much for myself than to share with the wider world.

    I know it is a long way off but I am already worried about the vague rigging instructions in the book and a lack of a decent pin map.
    Hull construction and build is less of a worry.
    I am also not obsessed with historical accuracy beyond the manufacturers provision.
    A more detailed painting scheme would have been useful though
